Who owns what
Managing Director
Owns customer relationships, capital allocation and which programmes the business takes on.
Head of Operations
Accountable for plant scheduling, batch execution, yield performance and on-time despatch.
Head of Quality Assurance
Independent release authority. Signs or withholds the certificate of analysis on every lot, and reports outside the manufacturing line.
Head of Regulatory Affairs
Owns DMF preparation and maintenance, customer regulatory queries and inspection readiness.
Head of Research & Development
Route selection, process development, scale-up and cost-improvement programmes.
Head of EHS
Site safety systems, effluent and emissions compliance, contractor safety and incident investigation.
Quality assurance reports independently of manufacturing. If QA will not release a lot, it does not ship - and no one in this building has the authority to overrule that.
